Its formulation is designed to better accommodate normal movement, reducing the risk of cracking commonly associated with cement-based microcement systems.

GraniTech Fine can be applied directly over existing substrates such as tile, drywall, wood, cement board, or concrete. This allows for seamless remodeling without demolition, unnecessary permits, or excessive disruption—saving time, reducing waste, and improving overall project efficiency.

In many renovation scenarios, existing waterproofing can remain in place when deemed appropriate.

Important Application Notes

• Final Finish, Not a Waterproofing Membrane
  TERRAZZO GraniTech products are waterproof as a finish system; however, proper substrate waterproofing is still required where applicable. When applied over existing tile with approved waterproofing, no additional waterproofing needs to be redone.
• Surface Preparation Required
  Each coat is approximately 1 mm thick. Substrates must be smooth, stable, and level (e.g., Level 4 drywall or sound, crack-free concrete).
• Not Self-Leveling
  GraniTech Fine must be applied over properly prepared surfaces without height variations or uneven gaps.
